Parking in Mulhouse

Coming from the A36 freeway, we advise you to park in one of the parking lots below and then take public transport to the city center. The nearest streetcar stop to the center is “Porte Jeune”.

Patinoire Olympique

Boulevard Stoessel, a stone’s throw from the “Palais des Sports” streetcar stop (line 2), you’ll find a free parking lot with no height limit.
To access this parking lot from the A36 freeway, take the “Mulhouse Les Coteaux” exit and then exit 3 “Mulhouse center”.

Parking P+Tram Université

This parking lot is open from Monday to Saturday from 7am to 7pm. It allows you to park for the day and take the streetcar to the city center at a very attractive rate: 2 € for all occupants of the vehicle up to 7 people for the round trip.
To access this parking from the A36 freeway, take the “Mulhouse Les Coteaux” exit and then exit 3 “Mulhouse Centre”. The entrance to the parking lot is from the traffic circle towards the University.


Access to museums and tourist sites

Here is the practical information to visit our famous tourist sites, such as the National Automobile Museum – Schlumpf Collection or the Cité du Train.

National Automobile Museum – Schlumpf Collection

The National Automobile Museum presents more than 400 dream cars constituting one of the most beautiful collections in the world.

To know:

The parking lot is accessible to motor homes and caravans of all sizes. It is subject to a fee (parking meter) and accessible only if you visit the museum.

Practical information:

After your visit to the museum, take the opportunity to leave your vehicle on site and discover the city center 10 min away by streetcar, stop “Porte Jeune”, direction “Gare Centrale” (line 1).


Cité du Train

The Cité du Train stages the most dazzling masterpieces of rail history in a fun and educational way. It is the largest railway museum in Europe.

To know:

Parking in front of the museum is free, the parking lot behind the museum parking lot is accessible to you at night, but without surveillance.

Practical information:

You can get to the city center from the Cité du Train by streetcar line 3 or tram-train, direction “Gare centrale” (15 min approx.) from the streetcar stop “Musées” located 400m away.


Electropolis Museum

The Electropolis Museum’s collections feature both objects related to the scientific discovery of electricity and objects from the domestic sphere that illustrate the transformations that have taken place over the past century.

To know:

The Electropolis Museum is located next to the Cité du Train. See Cité du Train parking above.

Practical information:

Take advantage of the combined ticket to visit both museums in the same day.


Zoological and Botanical Park

Discover more than 190 species of exceptional animals and a magnificent local and exotic botanical collection in outstanding landscaping.

For your information:

The park offers facilitated parking near the upper entrance for large vehicles.


Musée de l’Impression sur Etoffes

It bears witness to the industrial epic of the region, presents the various players in printing and opens up to European industrial achievements. Its collection traces the print in the history of decorative arts since the 18th century.

To know:

The small size of this parking lot will not facilitate your maneuvers because it is not designed for large vehicles. We advise you to refer to the “Parking in Mulhouse” section for access to the city center. The museum has a parking lot right in front of the entrance. Like most downtown parking lots, it is fee-based, with a parking meter.


Historical Museum and Museum of Fine Arts

The Historical Museum has very rich collections consisting of furniture, costumes, tools, toys and the famous Klapperstein, among others. Discover a few meters away, the Museum of Fine Arts, an escapade in the heart of the history of Art since the 15th century.

To know:

These museums are located in the pedestrian city center and are difficult to access by motorhome. To park your vehicle, we advise you to refer to the section “Parking in Mulhouse”.


Ecomuseum of Alsace

The Ecomuseum of Alsace brings to life the history of an entire region. In its village made up of 73 half-timbered houses, visitors discover the daily life of Alsatians of yesteryear.

To wit:

A free parking area is available to motor home visitors in the parking lot of the Ecomusée d’Alsace (only open during the site’s opening periods).


Little Prince Park

Discover the 1st aerial park in the world. This playful and poetic park is inspired by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s Little Prince. Emotions guaranteed with its attractions, shows and animals. The park is located near the Ecomuseum of Alsace, allowing you to visit both sites in the same day.

To know:

You can park only during the park’s opening hours on the bus parking.


Musée du Papier Peint

His collections cover the entire history of wallpaper, from the 18th century to the present day.

To know:

The Musée du Papier Peint is located 6 km from Mulhouse, in the heart of the small town of Rixheim. You can access it by parking for free on the large parking lot of La Poste or on the parking lot of the Jumenterie, rue du Temple.


La Grange à Bécanes, Musée rhénan de la moto – Collection Lemoine

Installed in a rehabilitated 750m² barn and equipped with an original scenography, this living museum, dedicated to motorcycles, presents 90 vintage vehicles and allows visitors to live a unique experience rich in sensations, “living” the history of motorcycles.

To know:

Free parking accessible during the museum’s opening hours (closed from November to the end of March)


La Cave du Vieil Armand

Make a stop at this wine cooperative that brings together 73 winemakers. Taste grand crus, late harvests, selections of noble grains and Crémant d’Alsace.

To know:

Possibility to park next to the cellar with your motor home for one night. Picnic area and site member of France Passion.

Camping de l’Ill***

Access

By the A35/36, exit “Mulhouse Les Coteaux”, exit n°3 “Mulhouse center” and follow the directional signs

Practical information

Euro Relay service area inside the campsite. Also available to passing motorhome owners for 6€. Most of the pitches are equipped with an electrical connection.

Camping-Parc La Chaumière**

Access

A 6km from Mulhouse (A36 exit “Mulhouse Les Coteaux” then direction “Morschwiller le Bas”).

Practical information

62 pitches – An artisanal emptying and refilling area is reserved for motor homes.
