Our advice!

Useful information about Christmas markets
  • Are there any activities for children?

During the Christmas Market, many activities take place for children: storytelling at the Historical Museum, treasure hunts, craft workshops…

Find them on the Christmas events page.

  • Can I come with my dog?

Your four-legged friends are welcome during the Christmas festivities, but the density of the crowd and the general atmosphere may not suit them. Avoid peak hours on weekends and at the end of the day if possible.

  • Are there any guided tours?

The Maison du Patrimoine Edouard Boeglin offers La Magie de Noël guided tours in French throughout the Christmas Market period.

  • What time do the lights come on?

The Christmas lights that embellish the streets of Mulhouse are usually turned on at 5pm.

  • What type of food do you recommend I try?

There’s plenty of good stuff to try at the Christmas Market! If you want to eat local, you’ll find carp and French fries from Juste Là, burgers from the Albrecht Farm or sauerkraut-knepfla dishes with or without Christmas sausage.

But you’ll also find the more classic flam’baguettes, tartes flambées, crêpes, waffles, etc.

And of course, we’re not forgetting the famous mulled wine, red or white, or hot juices for those who don’t drink alcohol.
