Description
To celebrate the 30th International Bat Night, the Mulhouse Zoological and Botanical Park invites you to discover these fascinating nocturnal mammals, which are often shrouded in mystery. Organized in partnership with the Alsace Mammal Study and Protection Group (GEPMA), this exceptional evening will give you a better understanding of bats’ way of life, the threats they face, and the measures being taken to protect them.
After an indoor presentation to uncover the secrets of these amazing animals, it’s time to explore the field. Equipped with ultrasonic detectors, you’ll set out to encounter the Park’s bats and learn to track their movements and calls, which are usually inaudible to the human ear. Accompanied by passionate experts from GEPMA and the Park, you’ll gain a new perspective on this discreet species, which is nonetheless essential to the balance of our ecosystems. A unique and immersive experience to observe nature at dusk.
