Mulhouse South Alsace: a destination committed to responsible tourism
The Tourist Office of the Mulhouse South Alsace Development Agency is actively committed to developing tourism that is more sustainable, accessible and environmentally friendly. Since 2023, a roadmap has guided our actions to:
- support tourism professionals in adopting more eco-friendly practices,
- promote local initiatives in favour of sustainable development,
- encourage visitors to discover Mulhouse in a different way, by prioritising soft mobility, short-distance travel and authentic experiences.
This commitment stems from a firm belief: the tourism of tomorrow is being built today, by balancing appeal, quality of life and respect for resources.
Responsible travel in Mulhouse: simple actions, a real impact
Discovering Mulhouse and its region in a responsible way means, for example:
- choosing to travel to Alsace by train or public transport,
- exploring the city on foot or by bike,
- choosing accommodation that is committed to environmental sustainability,
- supporting local producers and artisans,
- respecting natural areas and biodiversity.
Here, every stay becomes an authentic experience, rooted in the local area, where the joy of discovery goes hand in hand with responsibility.
