Description
Discover the fascinating shades of indigo during an introductory workshop led by Marianne Mell and Hélène Muller, dye artists from Nuances Vagabondes. Whether working alone or in pairs, let them guide you as you explore dye plants and this iconic deep blue.
You’ll learn the basics of shibori, a Japanese technique that involves folding, tying, or compressing fabric before immersing it in a dye bath. As you work, the patterns emerge, giving each creation a unique look. You’ll leave with a scarf dyed by your own hands, and you can also bring a white cotton, linen, or silk cloth to give it a new lease on life in indigo hues.
Ages 6 and up (children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult). Reservations required.
