The Saint-Étienne Church in Mulhouse will host a special concert by the Ensemble la Sportelle, the flagship ensemble of the Rocamadour Foundation – Sacred Music. This event is being organized to raise funds for the restoration of the pavilion at the Jardin Miquey, a project supported by the Heritage Foundation. Under the direction of British conductor Owain Park, the ensemble will perform *Media Vita*, a program of great intensity that weaves together Renaissance masterpieces and the finest works of contemporary composition. Inspired by an 11th-century Gregorian antiphon, *Media Vita* is a musical meditation on the fragility of life, memory, and hope. Works by Kerensa Briggs, Byrd, Victoria, Gesualdo, Górecki, Arvo Pärt, and other composers come together to form a spiritual and artistic journey of rare emotional depth. Founded in Rocamadour, the Ensemble la Sportelle has established itself in just a few years as one of France’s most acclaimed vocal ensembles, invited to perform at numerous festivals and prestigious venues in France and abroad.
