Description

In this new production—winner of the 2026 Molière Award for Best Direction—Joël Pommerat imagines, in the style of a fairy tale, the encounter between two young girls ready to defy adult authority in order to preserve and nurture their friendship. But to do so, they’ll have to turn the rules of reality upside down! Set in the heart of childhood, where fantasy is a necessity, this story explores how the magical and the supernatural become the only true bulwarks against the trials the two heroines face. It’s about love and friendship, but its true theme is really fear and anger. With his characteristic humor and precise prose, and without moralizing, Joël Pommerat narrates the friendship pact between the two young girls—a bond so powerful that it defies the laws of reality and the authority of adults. In this “novel-like play,” events are recounted as they unfold. Fears and nightmares unfold in gaping spaces—imagined or dreaded. For the characters, the supernatural becomes a means of confronting realities that are incomprehensible or inconceivable. For ages 13 and up. Only in French. From 6 to 30 €
