This tour takes you on a journey through the abbey’s most iconic spaces, from its medieval church to the living quarters of the Trappist monks. The scriptorium, novitiate, cloister, and grand library… As you make your way through the tour, you’ll learn about the monastery’s organization and the daily life of the community, traditionally structured around prayer and work.
You’ll also learn how the abbey has transformed over the centuries. Architectural changes, reconstructions, and successive adaptations tell a turbulent story and bear witness to the various religious communities that have inhabited the site.
