Over the course of a weekend, Mulhouse's Zoological and Botanical Park is transformed into an adventure playground for animal and 9th art lovers. The festival is all about discovery, creativity and raising awareness of the need to protect endangered species.
This year, the Kordofan giraffe is in the spotlight. Throughout the festival, guest authors and illustrators will be offering meetings, book signings, exhibitions and events in a friendly, family-friendly atmosphere.
On the program: drawing and coloring workshops, treasure hunts, enigma trails through the park, readings and activities for children, artistic demonstrations, original exhibitions and meetings with authors. A major group exhibition will also feature the work of over sixty artists committed to giraffe conservation.
This year's patron, Italian cartoonist Paola Antista, best known for her "Sorceline" series, will sign the festival poster and present an exhibition based on her poetic and fantastic universe.
Groaaar!" invites young and old alike to enjoy a fun and inspiring experience at the heart of Mulhouse Zoo, combining the discovery of animals, a passion for comics and family activities.
