Description
Discover the first exhibition in France by American photographer Jenia Fridlyand. *Limits of Control* brings together a selection of photographs taken in Cuba between 2017 and 2019, the result of an immersive experience in which chance played a key role.
Through her lens, the artist explores the island’s landscapes, scenes of daily life, and unique atmosphere. Her perspective is shaped by an intimate connection to Cuba, forged by her childhood in the Soviet Union on the eve of Perestroika—a period of profound transformation that echoes Cuban history. Straddling the line between documentary and visual poetry, this exhibition invites viewers to discover a world where the unexpected and memory converge.
