Description
As part of the Biennale de la photographie, the Mulhouse Fine Arts Museum invites visitors to explore the notion of sedimentation through their eyes and gestures.
Guided by artist Emmanuel Henninger, participants scour the works for fragments of rock, strata and mineral matter hidden in the images or in the museum's collections.
Once identified, these elements are extracted and reinterpreted through drawing, not on paper, but directly on Vosges pink sandstone. Stone thus becomes a sensitive surface, a medium of trace and memory.
A workshop to experience drawing as an act of sampling, between observation, material and time.
Ages 7 and up. Reservations required by e-mail or telephone.
