Description
Take a bird’s-eye view and enjoy exclusive access to the gallery of the Rinckenbach Great Organ at the Sacré-Cœur Basilica.
During this guided tour, the organ builder who helped restore the organ in 2021 will reveal the secrets of this impressive instrument. You’ll learn how it works, get a close-up look at its 3,084 pipes, and hear some of its 49 stops, including the rare “human voice” stop.
Récit, positive, windchest… Behind the grand organ lies a whole vocabulary and body of expertise that you’ll learn to understand. A unique opportunity to go behind the scenes of an instrument that’s heard far more often than it’s seen.
