Description
Following the minimalism of *Fratres* (a piece with no defined instrumentation, performable by three soloists or an entire orchestra), *Frozen in Time* presents itself as a geological snapshot, imagining the moment when the supercontinents emerged from Pangaea. Percussion, led by the marimba, takes center stage in this score characterized by raw power and mysterious sounds.
Scheherazade stands out for its sensuality. The princess from *One Thousand and One Nights*, embodied by the solo violin, captivates us just as she captivated the fearsome Prince Shahryar, against a backdrop of superb seascapes and vibrant festive sounds.
