Description
The opening night of the 2026 Météo Festival promises to be exceptional, featuring two virtuoso Iranian musicians!
The hypnotic music of tanbur player Mohammad Mostafa Heydarian—discovered at last fall’s LeGuessWho festival in Utrecht—will resonate for the very first time in France at the Saint-Étienne Temple in Mulhouse. The tanbur is a Persian lute, which the Iranian musician plays as if it were an extension of his soul.
In the second half of the evening, the extraordinary percussionist Mohammad Reza Mortazavi will bring his traditional Persian drums to life—particularly the daf and the tombak—redefining their use at every concert and inventing new forms and a vocabulary that transcends the boundaries of tradition.
