Description
"A well-rounded artist." Quentin Ferrière – Le Soir
For those open to it, chance sometimes brings wonderful discoveries! Krzysztof Michalski owes him a great deal, as he has so profoundly shaped his life choices—his career, music, and the cello.
There’s nothing left to chance, however, when it comes to showcasing the cello! Right from the start, the young musician turns to Bach, through whom the instrument earned its reputation. He continues his journey with a masterpiece of inventive technical virtuosity by Penderecki and concludes with a rare and virtuosic piece by Cassadó.
A rising star of the cello, Krzysztof Michalski distinguished himself in 2024 at the ARD Competition in Munich and at the Queen Elisabeth Competition in Belgium in May 2026. No stranger to prestigious concert halls and major festivals, the young virtuoso has recorded his debut album in a duo with Alexandra Bidi, principal harpist of the Orchestre de Paris.
