Description
"While Gabriel Pidoux’s brushwork is exquisite, with its myriad nuances of color and light, Jorge Gonzalez Buajasan’s brushstrokes do more than simply provide a pianistic backdrop. A duo with a bright future." Pierre Gervasoni – Le Monde
The French oboe school is one of the most prestigious in the world. Three 20th-century composers—Saint-Saëns, Poulenc, and Dutilleux—are inextricably linked to it, having so masterfully brought out the poetry of this marvelous instrument.
These three works, dedicated to the evocative magic of the oboe, will be complemented by two virtuosic pieces designed to dazzle. As for Poulenc’s *Mélancolie*, it will allow you to appreciate the subtle artistry of Jorge González Buajasán.
Gabriel Pidoux, named “Revelation in Instrumental Solo Performance” at the 2020 Victoires de la Musique Classique, and Jorge González Buajasán, a sought-after soloist and chamber musician, have been performing as a duo since 2019. In 2022 and 2026, two critically acclaimed albums marked the depth of their close friendship.
