Description
Who hasn’t wondered what came before? Before prehistory, before the dinosaurs, before the Big Bang? Kosmos embraces the dizzying nature of these questions—questions that never have definitive answers, but to which humans have always responded by inventing stories.
Among all these stories, Jasmina Douieb and Lara Hubinont have chosen one—a very old one—that comes to us from the Greeks. It’s the story of Gaia, who created the sky, the mountains, and perhaps even… potato chips! Gaia had a son: a certain Cronos, who himself had some rather famous children. Blending science, myth, and history, the show invites us to think about and observe the world with humor and poetry. Props and objects serve as tools for a zany narrative driven at a brisk pace by the two actresses: landscapes and characters appear and transform into astonishing scenes. Beginning from nothing, the show unfolds like a joyful cosmogonic fireworks display evoking one of the stories of the creation of the universe.
For ages 7 and up. Only in French.
