Unique in Europe for its theme, the François Schneider Foundation Art Center dedicates its 2,000 m2 of exhibition space and its garden to artistic expression on the theme of water in all its forms.
François Schneider, former head of Les Sources de Wattwiller, imagined this foundation to support artists who, perhaps, will be recognized tomorrow. Indeed, each year, the “Contemporary Talents” competition rewards artists of all nationalities and disciplines who propose works or projects on the theme of water. The winners’ works are then exhibited at the Art Center. A unique art collection around water has thus been built up over the years.
More than forty pieces are currently brought together: drawings, paintings, sculptures, videos, photos or even installations. Each exhibition of the Foundation is accompanied by workshops, animations for young audiences and guided tours for the whole family.
