The Fête des Ménétriers, Alsace's oldest festival, perpetuates the ties between the lords of Ribeaupierre and the minstrels they protected. Every year, this great popular encounter with the Middle Ages takes place on the first Sunday in September in Ribeauvillé.
The Pfifferdaj pays tribute to the guild of minstrels (minstrels, musicians, acrobats...), headquartered in Ribeauvillé and under the protection of the lords of Ribeaupierre in the Middle Ages.

10am-9pm: Medieval market in the courtyard of the Médiathèque
11am-6pm: Street entertainment by the "Skadefryd" group.
From 7pm: Ball and catering under the marquee in the Jardin de Ville.
8:30pm: Torchlight procession - departure from Place de la République to the Jardin de Ville
In the evening: Fanfare parade in the Grand'rue
Sunday
9am: Wake-up call by the Ménestrels of the Harmonie Vogésia from the Tour des Bouchers
10am: Musical entertainment in the Grand'rue and squares
10am-7pm: Medieval market in the courtyard of the Médiathèque (musical entertainment "Skadefryd" from 10am to 12pm)
1:30pm: Rencontre des Ménétriers d'Alsace - fanfares parade
2:30pm: Grand cortège of musicians, floats, bateleurs, jugglers and fire-eaters (nearly a thousand extras in medieval costumes)
After the procession: wine tasting offered at Place de l'Hôtel de Ville.
From 7pm: Public ball and catering in the Jardin de Ville
Monday
5pm: Musical Aubade by the Harmonie municipale Vogésia
Presentation of the traditional gingerbread to the mayor (place de l'Hôtel de Ville)
Proclamation of procession rankings and presentation of diplomas
