AJAM invites you to an apotheosis of season closing with the Trio Zeliha. The three thirty-somethings, Cuban pianist Jorge González Buajasán, violinist Manon Galy - nominated for the 2022 Victoires de la musique classique - and cellist Maxime Quennesson, whom AJAM audiences have already enjoyed over the past two seasons, will bring their experience and maturity to bear to make this event a musical highlight.
Music is their meeting point, and their trio their mooring. It's what they've grown up with, what unites them and to which they tirelessly return, as one returns to one's cocoon.
The program - titanic! - is worthy of this exceptional trio. With Beethoven, lyrical, sublime in inspiration and inventive fantasy, monumentality is tinged with gentleness. Brahms' opus, with its intensity, light and humanity, responds to this masterpiece, which left an indelible mark on the Romantics.
Winners of prestigious international competitions (Clara Haskil, KlavierOlymp de BadKissingen, Jascha Heifetz, Ginette Neveu, Barsbash Bach, Louis Rosor), the three musicians have underscored the rare identity and original vision of their group with two acclaimed recordings in 2019 and 2024.
Program:
Ludwig van Beethoven, Piano Trio No. 7 "à l'Archiduc" in B flat major, Op. 97
Johannes Brahms, Trio for piano and strings No. 1 in B major, Op. 8.
