Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of minerals, fossils, and gemstones at Mineralexpo, the traditional international trade show and exhibition organized by the association Les Amis des Sciences de la Terre. Spanning over 2,200 m², exhibitors from a variety of backgrounds offer minerals from around the world, fossils, meteorites, amber, gemstones, precious stones, and jewelry made from natural stones. A 500-square-meter area is also dedicated to wellness, featuring products, natural techniques, and alternative therapies. For this edition, Mineralexpo is spotlighting the Sundgau region with the exhibition “Sundgaustei: Minerals and Fossils of the Sundgau.” The result of many years of research and exploration, this exhibition invites you to explore the area’s geological, mineralogical, and paleontological treasures. More than 200 specimens, accompanied by explanatory panels, recount part of the region’s long geological history. Children aren’t left out: games, prizes to be won, and a free mineral sample will make their visit even more enjoyable. Several raffles are also being held, including one where you can try to win an amethyst geode. You’ll also find documentation, magazines, specialized literature, and minerals at the association’s booth, not to mention a food and beverage area serving drinks and pastries.
