Exhibition: 25 years of acquisition

Enriching collections is part of a museum's mission. Goods acquired free of charge (donation) or for a consideration (purchase from private individuals or antique dealers) become inalienable.

Carefully selected, they are removed from the market and become public property. Over the past 25 years, the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Mulhouse has added almost 300 works to its collection.

These include works by artists from the 19th to the 21st centuries, most of whom were active in the Mulhouse region. The exhibition shows a selection of works from these different periods, representing a variety of themes and fields (graphic arts, paintings, photographs, sculptures).
