Electricity for women

  • Guided tour
Musée Electropolis, 55 rue du Pâturage, 68200 Mulhouse
To mark International Day of Women and Girls in Science, the Musée Electropolis is honoring the women who have advanced the history of electricity, sometimes behind the scenes. A themed guided tour and a booklet-game invite you to discover the careers of women who are all too often overlooked.

Entitled "L'électricité au féminin", the guided tour retraces the path of pioneering women in electricity-related fields. You'll come across emblematic figures such as Marie Curie and Hedy Lamarr, as well as scientists who have long remained invisible, not forgetting those who have integrated electrical appliances into their daily professional and domestic lives, transforming the way they are used.
Reservations recommended by telephone. Visit at 2.30pm (duration: 2h)

And to prolong the experience at your own pace, an investigation is offered throughout the day: riddles to solve, objects to observe, clues to unearth... The investigation booklet guides you on a fun and educational journey through the heart of the Mulhouse museum, to shed light on the women who have left their mark on the history of electricity.
Booklet available all day.
