Come and discover or rediscover the cycling trails of the Bassin Potassique with family, friends or solo, at your own pace and without any competitive spirit. This second edition of the Cyclo Tour du Bassin Potassique is organized by the Lions Club Wittenheim Bassin Potassique, the Cyclo Club de Kingersheim and the Groupe Rodolphe, with a solidarity objective: to finance the education of a guide dog for the blind. Every kilometer covered will count, as all profits will be donated to the École des Chiens Guides de l'Est, based in Cernay.
On the program: three 15 km circuits accessible to all for a nice family ride, as well as two more athletic 60 and 80 km circuits for seasoned cyclists. The rallying point will be at the Carreau Rodolphe umbrella shed (between Pulversheim and Bollwiller, exit 10 off the D430, access via Chemin du Grosswald), the starting and finishing point for the different circuits. Bicycle and car parking, catering and an entertainment village await you.
The prevention village will focus on safety, health and disability, with information and screening for eyesight, diabetes and blood pressure. Fifteen partner associations will be on hand to explain their activities, raise awareness of disabilities and insidious illnesses, and offer equipment demonstrations.
And because sport goes hand in hand with conviviality, the Rodolphe Group will be providing refreshments and snacks on site. Throughout the day, a spirit of sharing, solidarity and environmental awareness will accompany your pedal strokes.
A day to be lived to the full, between the pleasure of riding and a commitment to a worthy cause.
