Concert by Ericson Quintet Jazz

Under the direction of trumpeter Ericson Beaubrun, this quintet, born at the Conservatoire de Strasbourg, explores the universe of hard bop, be-bop and blues, three essential pillars of the American jazz tradition, with ardor and authenticity. With demanding backgrounds and solid academic training, the members of the quintet have found in this project a free and collective expression ground, where listening and musical complicity mingle. The group revisits the great standards - from Miles Davis to Sonny Rollins, from Horace Silver to Art Blakey - while giving them a personal, lively reading, anchored in the present.
