Stoffel Chocolate Factory

For the greediest

This family-run chocolate factory in Alsace has drawn its DNA from generosity, sharing & tradition since 1963. Discover a quality chocolate, chosen with care, exclusive recipes and meticulous work in their Alsatian workshops, including a wide range without preservatives or coloring.

The Daniel Stoffel chocolate factory also offers discovery workshops around chocolate with the possibility of privatizing their chocolate factory in Ribeauvillé (55 km from Mulhouse, in the heart of the Wine Route):

  • themed tastings: pairings with wine, beer or even teas
  • blind tasting to learn and know all the subtleties of chocolate
  • workshop on the process of creating chocolate “bean to bar” (from the bean to the bar)
  • workshop to create the Alsatian emblem in chocolate

Giom Von Birgitta

For art lovers

Giom Von Birgitta trained in clay with generous and passionate creators, first in the heart of the Périgord with Julie Z, then at the Centre Professionnel International de Formation aux Arts Céramiques alongside Céline Laurent Delsor, and finally at Créamik with Matthieu Liévois. From these encounters was born a personal approach, at the crossroads between intuition and know-how, between mastery and letting go.

From the flamboyant Mulhouse textile years of the 18th and 19th centuries, there remain several dozen acres of bricks and chimneys, invaded by contemporary absence and urban poetry. In Mulhouse, Motoco has become the beating heart of a fertile artistic creativity, gathering the crazy energies and delirious talents of 140 artists in the hollow of 8500 m² of raw and warm brick. It is on the second floor of this condensed vital energy that Giom Von Birgitta chose to install the 100 m² of his studio.

Alsatian House of Biscuits

To taste Alsace

While the recipes for Bredele (the famous little Christmas cookies) are passed down from generation to generation in Alsatian families and jealously kept secret, the creator of the Maison Alsacienne de Biscuiterie has the desire to make as many people as possible discover these little treasures and share the richness of Alsace’s culinary heritage with everyone.

It is in their workshop, located in the heart of Alsace, that the pastry chefs make their specialties: from Bredele to Coconut Macaroons to gingerbread or Kougelhopf, to name a few! Discover one of their stores in the heart of the historic center of Mulhouse.

La Filature - Scène Nationale

For those looking for experience

Built on the site of a former worsted woolen mill, the La Filature building was completed in 1993 by architect Claude Vasconi. Under its glass and steel shell, the building houses La Filature, Scène nationale and its exhibition gallery, the Mulhouse Symphony Orchestra, the Mulhouse Media Library specializing in the performing arts, and the Météo Festival. It also hosts some performances of the Opéra national du Rhin, as well as the creations of the CCN – Ballet de l’Opéra national du Rhin.

Each season, the Scène nationale offers theater, dance, music, circus and young audience shows. The programming, open to contemporary creation, mixes internationally renowned artists and emerging companies, contemporary texts and new looks at the repertoire.

Boutique aux Etoffes

For a unique gift

Mulhouse’s textile past is part of its heritage and DNA. To pay tribute to it, every year for Christmas, a fabric is created by a textile designer and used to decorate the Christmas market. The pattern and colors change every year. These fabrics then become a real collection!”

The Boutique aux Etoffes, open only during the period of the Mulhouse Christmas Market, is located on the first floor of the old City Hall on the Place de la Réunion. You will obviously be able to find there in exclusivity the fabric of the year but also a large panel of derived objects: tablecloths, napkins, pouches of all kinds, apron, decorative objects to be put, hangers for the tree, etc.
