Founded in 1857, the Musée de l’Impression sur Etoffes stems from a long museum tradition carried on by the industrialists of Mulhouse. Pieces dating back to 1833 have taken their place in the museum. Through some million samples preserved and machines on display, it is possible to discover the history of textile printing in Alsace and in the world. This textile heritage still inspires great houses and designers such as Kenzo, IKEA, Ladurée, Hermès and many others. Every year, a large temporary exhibition is organized.
