Carreau Rodolphe

The Rodolphe Tile is a former site of the Potash mines, a place of memory, transmission of heritage and mining culture of the potash basin.

The guided tour is a moment of intense emotion. The miners will bring to life the epic of the potash mines of Alsace by sharing their lived at the bottom of the mine. During this visit, they will show you reconstructions of the bottom workings, the 2 headframes and the 2 extraction machines from 1912 and 1928, perfectly restored, surface installations that allowed the treatment of the ore and a complete and unique set of mining machines in France going from the 1950s to 2004.
