This grand springtime parade assembles a collection of weird and wonderful horse-mounted characters, such as the snail-barker, the ice-sniffer and the roadsweeper. The noisiest of all is the Pfengschtflitteri, the Feuillu, or wild man, representing the spirit of nature. But not even the wit of his outpourings can prevent the villagers throwing him into the river to make sure the next harvest is a good one.
