in Mulhouse
-
The Musée des Beaux-Arts in Mulhouse has a rich collection of 20th century Alsatian artists, including Alfred Giess, Léon Lehmann, Charles Walch and Robert Breitwieser, who are highlighted in this exhibition.
Unknown to the general public, these artists are sometimes relegated to regionalism, which is hardly representative of their painting. Alongside the Parisian avant-garde movements, they participated in the renewal of local creation.
