The Nave of Science asks its visitors questions about the human body: how is it made up? How has its representation evolved over time? The exhibition "Corps en images" is a journey through the centuries, from the body imagined in Antiquity, with its humours and its supposed need for bloodletting, to the body of today - made perfectly transparent and virtual thanks to modern medical imaging. Anatomical plates and models from the past are combined with interactive devices and images from X-ray, ultrasound and MRI scans. The evolution of techniques and the acquisition of anatomical knowledge are thus shown, while addressing the challenges of current medical research.
