Rixheim’s Wallpaper Design Museum illustrates the history of wallpaper with an impressive collection of paper, machines and archive material. The Zuber & Compagnie wallpaper factory has donated some 130,000 documents to the museum showing its production from 1800 to the present day. The museum is also the only one in the world where the finished product is displayed alongside the raw materials used to manufacture it as well as archive documents explaining where the paper is sold. The exceptional collections of elaborately decorated wallpaper include the famous panoramic wallpaper that decorates houses all over the world, including the White House.
