Sausheim

Conveniently located at the crossroads of the A35 and A36 motorways, Sausheim boasts an excellent choice of quality hotels, making it an ideal stopping point for visitors to the area. A picturesque country village on the banks of the River Ill just 5 minutes away from Mulhouse, Sausheim is proud of its landscape gardening and in particular, the elaborate floral displays on its roundabouts.

One of these, the carrefour des oies (geese crossroad), refers to the village´s rustic traditions while another is named after Hansi, the pseudonym of Jean-Jacques Waltz, a famous Alsatian artist.
These roundabouts symbolise both Sausheim´s pride in the prosperity of the region and its broad, European outlook.
The town´s prosperity is largely due to the Peugeot factory where the popular 206 and 307 models are made.
The village offers numerous sports and leisure facilities to its 5500 inhabitants including hiking in the Forest of Hardt, the fields and along the banks of the River Ill.
