Accueil Visits and leisure Unmissable! Museum of Printing Fabrics

Museum of Printing Fabrics

This museum boasts over 6 million patterns, making it the largest museum of its kind in the world visited by designers from all over the world who come in search of inspiration. In addition to the fabric sample catalogues, the museum also houses around 50,000 textile pieces including bedspreads, scarves and shawls. Through a series of temporary exhibitions, the museum charts the history of textile art, with a wide variety of pieces ranging from the rare to the everyday and from Europe’s very first printed fabrics to the latest contemporary designs. In parallel, the museum’s permanent collection illustrates the historic context of fabric printing and features machinery and tools.
