Cité de l'Automobile - Automobile Museum - Schlumpf Collection
Bugatti, Rolls Royce, Ferrari, Panhard… Car enthusiasts can admire some 400 models made by over one hundred European manufacturers in 17,000 m² of exhibition space. With its fabulous collections and fascinating history, this is one of the finest automobile museums in the world. The collections chart the history of the car right from its invention. Up until the mid-20th century it was a luxury item reserved for the elite but became more popular and widespread in Europe from the 1960’s. What makes the museum’s collections is exceptional is: - the quality of the cars: there are over 100 Bugattis, Peugeots, Renaults and Citroëns as well as more prestigious models by Rolls-Royce, Hispano-Suiza, Maserati, Ferrari etc. - the number of vehicles on display: over 600, 400 of which are part of the museum’s permanent collections.
